Bigfoot Bike Safety.

On Monday the 13th of November we had Bigfoot outdoor adventures at our school, and they were there to teach us about riding bikes safely in and around the community, they taught us the first four road rules which were; 

• Obey all signs, lines and traffic lights.
• If turning, give way to others who aren't turning.
• Top of the 'T' goes before me.
• In all other situations give way to others turning right.

They also taught us a 4-point check, which will help us keep safe when riding our bikes. They taught us how to look after our bikes, We went for a road-ride along the cycle-way that goes along the South-Western Motorway, we crossed a white bridge over to Mt. Roskill Grammar and made our way back through some quiet streets that cut through back to our school. We had fun learning about bike safety, how to ride safely on the roads, they also taught us the certain signals you may need on a bike, like indicating left and right, and the signal that you use to inform motorists that you are going to brake or slow down.

Auckland Champions League Tournament.

On Tuesday the 17th of October, we had a very big tournament, it was the Auckland championship for Intermediate's in New Zealand. We we're eligible to compete because we had won our Central Zone League Tournament, We had four round robin games, First, we played De La Salle, I think that the competition was too tight, we ended drawing with them 2-2, Then we played Wiri North and it was a tight first half at that time the score was 3-2 and we we're leading, but an inspirational talk by our Coach, Mr Ball, our boys we're ready to take the game, and we did making the score line 7-2, Mr Ball seemed to be pleased after our win. Our next game was against a school that I could not remember the name of, but the boys we're ready and willing to go, we won 12-1, We had one more round robin game and then it would advance straight into the finals, we we're coming second in the for and against points table, we we're 1 Point behind De La Salle who had just finished losing to Henderson, we had a chance to take the lead, ending the game with another draw, Mr Ball went to the admissions tent to see who had made the final and he had Said that we finished 1st in the for and against points table, which put us through to the final against De La Salle, A fiery first half, there were some spine tingling tackle made, Some from us and they returned them just as hard, both teams rolled in a try leading into the 2nd half, luckily Mr Ball was one of the coaches that would pick you up when you are in a tight match, It must have been the Magic Water!! We won the Final 4-1, after the game, we huddled up and gave our three cheers to them, to the ref and to us, then we shook the hands of the opposition we all huddled up including De La Salle and did one big Prayer to give thanks to the Lord. One last team photo and one last chant for the camera's and it was time to head back to school. We we're all Limping when we got back to school, spreading the great news of our victory, and that is how we became Auckland Champions!!

SPORTS CAMP 2017!!

I can't wait for next week, because then we will be going to SPORTS CAMP!! We will be heading to Totara Springs sports camp.

We have been training hard to make sure that we have good shot at winning the camp and bringing home as many trophies as we possibly can, I think that our Wesley Sports Camp Team is very strong but it will be tough to win it against our competition,

We are excited to head to Totara Springs to compete.

Wesley Intermediate Market Day 2017

Market Day

Kia Ora Bloggers.
On Thursday the 7th Of September 2017, we had market Day at Wesley Intermediate, My group we're selling Sushi, and in my group was: Antonio and Darius. I think that I can say that we made good profit we sold out an hour after we opened and even after we sold out people were asking for our Sushi, We were based in our Science Room, We made Sushi from about 8:30 to about 9:45 and then we sold our product. Market Day at Wesley Intermediate was fun to make, sell and buy products that were made by our students. Below is a photo of us in the process of trying to set up and advertise our stall.

We all had jobs, I was the Marketing Manager for our group, The Person to right hand-side of me is Darius and on the Left is Antonio.

Maggi Kitchen Showdown.

On Thursday last week we had the Maggi Kitchen Showdown, a competition for kids all over New Zealand from the ages of 11-16, and we were competing in it. It was very fun and challenging, because we had to follow a certain criteria which was, Your meal had to be prepared in 30 minutes, it had to feed a family of 4 , and you had to use a Maggi sache packet and your budget was just $20. In my group,  was Talaiasi and Tu'u. Talaiasi is the one on the left in the top photo and the one on the right being Tu'u. For our dish, we made, Chicken and pasta with a cheesy sauce.
